GIORGIO MUSSO
The new generation of winemakers
We have been cultivating the land for generations, passing on the experience gained over the years, together with the attention to details on the job.
Our goal is to cultivate the land without exploiting it, seeking the right balance between the use of chemistry and good agronomic practices to help our work in the field, preserving the environment around us and trying to achieve high-quality products.
Our winemaking processes aim to reduce cellar operations and the use of sulphites to the minimum necessary to preserve the wines’ characteristics as much as possible, avoiding standardising the production but letting each vintage express its uniqueness.

Where we are

We are a farm located entirely in the municipality of Montaldo Roero, located in the historic centre of medieval origin.
This region is called Roero and it is located on the left bank of the Tanaro between the plains of Carmagnola and the low hills of the Asti area. From a geological point of view, it is a fairly recent terrain. The erosion of the river is particularly significant on the sandy soil, creating the Rocche, steep hills that mark the watershed between the old and new Tanaro valley and that divide the territory from southwest to north-east, from Pocapaglia to Montà, dividing the continental soils which are based on gravel and fluvial clay, from those of marine origin, where vines find their ideal conditions
